The fuel of the future

The fuel of the future is produced here
How can we meet the energy needs of the future without affecting the climate?
This is one of the most important challenges in working towards long-term, sustainable development. In Lidköping, we are working in many ways
to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to replace fossil fuels with renewable ones. Lidköping Biogas, which is Sweden’s first large-scale plant for producing liquid biogas, is one example. Gas in liquid form has a high energy content and makes it possible to run heavy vehicles on gas. Driving with biogas instead of petrol and diesel is an important step towards becoming a municipality that is free of fossil fuels. That’s why our objective is to use gas-powered cars to as great an extent as possible.
