Travel
Lidköping is situated on the Kinnekulle line, which runs between Hallsberg and Gothenburg. Direct trains depart for Gothenburg twice a day on Monday to Saturday, with a journey time of around 1.5 hours. Travel time to Stockholm is around 3.5 hours. o Gothenburg is 140 km south on the E20. Stockholm is around 350 km to the north.
Passenger flights run from Trollhättan and Skövde airports [links with Stockholm and Copenhagen] and from Gothenburg [Landvetter Airport]. o The public transport network includes intercity buses with regular services to neighbouring municipalities.
Coaches run daily to Stockholm and Gothenburg. o Apart from Landvetter Airport, the freight airport at Hovby is the only one in the region to provide heavy freight.
